New Jersey’s newest lead-based paint law, “New Jersey’s Lead-Safe Certification,” requires that all residential rental properties constructed prior to 1978 must undergo a lead paint inspection (visual only for Chester Township) at next tenant turnover, or by July 22, 2024.
