Chester Township has installed Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs) in Chubb Park, Highlands Ridge Park, and Black River Park, to improve emergency response and save lives.
These devices are designed for anyone to use, providing step-by step voice instructions even if the user has no prior CPR training. Each AED is housed in a clearly marked, alarmed cabinet.
There are three units in Chubb Park, three units in Black River Park, and two units in Highlands Ridge Park. The locations in Chubb Park are by the path to the pond, on the park driveway across from the football fields, and by the pickleball courts. In Black River Park, there are 2 located along the trees down the middle of the parking lot (one near the front and one near the rear) and one along the turn in the back. In Highlands Ridge Park, one is located by the entrance to the Barn and the other is located at the end of the parking lot off North Road.
These devices aim to provide quick access to life-saving equipment for park users and visitors. A tutorial video will be available on the Chester Township website under ‘Parks’. For additional information, call 908-879-5100 x876.
