All are invited to attend. Some programs/activities offered are: Town Wide Garage Sale, Summer Camp, Holiday Lighting Contest, etc. Please check back often since many of these programs are time sensitive and seasonal. All programs are open to both Township and Borough residents. Look for special events and trips all year round! FormsFamily Mountain Biking ClubWe are a family oriented mountain biking club, sponsored by the Chester Township & Borough Recreation Departments. Our goal is to introduce children to the sport of mountain biking and develop their skills in a fun, social and supportive setting. Field Hockey Camp, Lacrosse Camp & TennisPlease contact the Chester Borough Recreation Office at 908-879-5361 or recreation@chesterborough.org. Manners Matter (This has been cancelled)(This has been cancelled). This 2-hour workshop will introduce the students to the do's and don'ts of everyday & dining etiquette. Some topics covered are speaking with confidence, conversational skills, proper greetings, introductions and more. Open to children 7 to 12 years of age at the Chester Township Municipal Building (1 Parker Road) on Tuesday, June 24 from 10:00 am until 12:00 noon. Fee is $30.00. Pony Grooming & Riding ProgramPetite Equestrian Program (PEP) is open to children 3 to 5 years of age. They will learn safety rules, equine anatomy and proper handling. Ponyshare & Horsemanship is open to children 7 to 11 years of age. They will learn safety rules, equine anatomy, body language and proper handling. Dates are August 25th to 29th. Registration and fee required. Summer ConcertThursday, July 3rd at Chubb Park, 7:00pm. Come and enjoy a free evening of music performed by the West Morris Community Band. You can picnic in the park before the band begins. If it rains it will take place at the Fire House on Main Street in Chester. Summer Recreation Program 2008As of 6/13/08: Only Week 1 is open - all other weeks are full. Program cost is $145 per week if you register before June 13th and $165 per week if you register after June 13th. (Week One cost is $130). The trip fee is $20 per week per child. Children will enjoy a variety of supervised activities including games, arts and crafts, swimming, entertainment and fieldtrips. Please click above to print program information and registration form.
