Chester Township Recreation Committee is comprised of seven volunteers residing in the Township who are responsible for suggesting and assisting with recreation programs and activities in the community. Monthly meetings are held the third Monday of every month at 10:30am at Chester Township Municipal Hall, second floor conference room. Chester Township Municipal Hall is located at 1 Parker Rd, Chester. The public is invited to attend these monthly meetings. Some programs/activities offered are: Town Wide Garage Sale, Summer Camp, Holiday Lighting Contest, etc. Please check back often since many of these programs are time sensitive and seasonal. All programs are open to both Township and Borough residents. Look for special events and trips all year round!

Chester Residents are welcomed to Visit THE 2014 PHILADELPHIA FLOWER SHOW WITH MENDHAM RECREATION on Sunday March 9th, $59.00 per person includes Show Ticket and door to door Tour Bus Transportation to the show. Our group package provides access to all the Show’s finest features, including: Complimentary Wine Tastings, Horticultural Demonstrations, Culinary Presentations and Shopping in the Marketplace. The best in the business have created floral arrangements and lush landscapes that uplift the Show Theme that promise not to disappoint. Experience the combination of art and horticulture as the 184th Philadelphia Flower Show celebrates everyone from Michelangelo to Monet, Picasso to Pollack and de Vinci to Dali. The 2014 flower show will focus on how landscapes, gardens and floral arrangements have inspired artists from the Old Masters to the Impressionists to today’s Post Modernists. The central feature of this year’s show will be inspired by the sculptures and style of Alexander Calder, a member of Philadelphia’s historic family of artists, and will feature a remarkable aerial dance troop who will perform above, on and within the multi-dimensional display. The participating landscapers and florists will show how working with plants is an art form itself. Bus departs from Mendham Township Hall at 7:30am and returns approximately 6:00pm. Parents' Night Out: Social and Recreational Opportunities for Children with Special Needs - This is the perfect way to eliminate some of the stress. It is a creative approach to the tradional drop-off respite program and provide unique opportunities for socialization. Adults' Night Out: Social and Recreational Opportunities for Adults with Special Needs - These are free and fun-filled social activities with personalized attention. Events are held at their Budd Lake facility and at various off site locations in Morris, Sussex and Warren counties. Teen Movies at Chester Library: Chester Recreation teams up with the Chester Library to offer Teen Movie nights once per month! This is a community partnership through our Municipal Alliance utilizing GCADA grant money to provide an alternative activity to drugs and alcohol. (GCADA stands for the Governer's Council on Alcoholism and Drug Abuse.) Free showing of an exciting popular movie plus free refreshments.
