CHESTER PRIDE DAY GOES GREENby on March 12, 2010 at 11:02 am Chester Pride Day will be on Saturday, April 24, 2010 from 9:00 am until 4:00 pm. 9:00 am to 12:00 will be clean-up activities followed by the Chester Green Fair from 12:00 to 4:00 pm. The event will be held at the Highlands Ridge Park and barn (former Telcordia property) next to the "telephone pole farm". Parking will be in the lot at 100 North Road or in the Black River Middle School parking lot across the street. This year, Chester Pride Day will mark the 40th anniversary of Earth Day by hosting a Green Fair following the morning Pride Day clean-up activities. Help clean up our town then come together for a celebration and green event during the afternoon. To volunteer for a Chester Pride Day project, contact Sue Pinto at: susanmpinto@gmail.com. Green Fair events will include: paper shredding services, electronics recycling, bicycle recycling, kids' books & cookbooks swap, tire recycling, battery and cell phone recycling, guided hikes, informational seminars, environmental art and much more.
