Household Hazardous Waste Event Days

The Morris County Municipal Utilities Authority (MCMUA) is sponsoring it's 2008 Household Hazardous Waste & Computer/TV Drop-off Events on Saturday, May 10 at the Pequannock Township Municipal Building located at 530 Newark-Pompton Turnpike in Pompton Plains; Saturday, June 14, August 9 and September 13 at the Morris County Firefighters & Police Training Academy located at 500 West Hanover Avenue in Parsippany and on Sunday, November 2 at the Jefferson Township DPW located at 1033 Weldon Road in Lake Hopatcong.  Hours are 9:00 am to 2:00 pm.  Some acceptable material:  Computers, Monitors, TV's, Printers, Scanners, Phones, Fax Machines (start at $3.00/item) and Peripherals such as mice, drives, keyboards, etc.; Household  Cleanining Products; Pesticides; Oil-Based Paints; Automotive Fluids; Pool Chemicals; Driveway Sealant & Roofing Tar; Mercury-Containing Devices such as thermometers, thermostats, etc.  For a complete listing and directions please visit their website, www.MCMUA.com or by calling (973) 829-8006.
