2008 Recreation Programsby on January 3, 2008 at 10:38 am Chester Township Recreation Director, Jeanne Montemarano, is announcing some new programs and bringing back some old programs. Snow Man Contest: Make a snowman anytime before the end of February, take a picture and enter it in the contest. Send the picture to the Recreation Office with your name and address on the back. All snowmen will be judged in March. Fencing Program: Co-sponsored with Mendham Twsp. Recreation. This program is good for all ages and abilities. Just come in comfortable clothes and a willingness to learn, we will provide the instructors and equipment. Classes will take place at the Church of the Messiah (Episcopal) located at 50 Rt. 24 West in Chester. Classes will be offered as follows: For children ages 6-10, Saturday mornings from 10:00 to 11:00 am; for children 10-15 years Tuesday from 5:00 to 6:00pm and Wednesday from 4:00 to 5:00pm. Your instructors both experienced in fencing and sabre coaching and competing are: Boris Khurgin and Slava Danylov. Classes continue in 4 week sessions and the fee is $140.00 for each session. You can join at anytime in the recreation office. Once registered, you can continue to pay in 4 week increments. We provide all equipment necessary. Registration is limited.
