This permit shall be used in cases of minor repairs to existing septic systems ONLY (cracked tank, baffle replacement, cracked line, etc.). In the event that more extensive work is needed on the system (replace the disposal field, etc.) a different application will be required.

Dog License Application

This is a reminder if you have not renewed your dog license for 2010 please do so immediately to avoid any additional late fees, as well as a summons being issued by the Animal Control Officer, which could result in a court appearance. Your dog(s) rabies vaccination needs to be valid for the entire year of 2010 before a license can be issued. Late fees start March 1st. You will be charged a $2.00 late fee for each month the dog is not licensed. If you no longer own your dog or have any further questions, please contact the Board of Health at 908-879-5100 x824 or by email at mnowicki@chestertownship.org.

Water Testing

Residents using water from private wells are strongly urged to have their water supply tested annually to ensure safe drinking water.

Sample bottles for water testing can be obtained by the Washington Township Health Department. The cost of analysis varies and is dependant upon chemical tests performed. These results cannot be used for official purposes such as Private Well Testing Act.
